Yeah, I know, I should be old enough to know how to put on NAIL POLISH. But its hard putting it on my right hand since I'm right handed! How do I put nail polish on my hands without making it look chunky or uneven?
Well, using a good quality polish helps.Always use a basecoat. This helps to both provide better adhesion for the polish, and makes the polish go on much more smoothly. Use two thin coats of polish. It doesn't matter if the first coat is uneven or doesn't provide good coverage. The second coat will take care of that. And finish it all off with a good quality topcoat. Clear nail polish is not the same thing. Use a product that is labeled as a topcoat.
Also, as much as people hate to wait for their nails to dry, the longer a polish takes to dry, the better. The result is longer lasting polish, and a higher shine. Never blow on them, or put them next to a fan, expose them to heat, or dip them in cold water. In other words, don't try to speed up the drying process. Leave them to air dry completely. It may take some time, so be patient and don't rush it. And one last thing. Make sure the polish is not old. This can cause clumps if it has thickened even a little. Sure, many people will suggest adding a bit of polish thinner, or even polish remover to thin the polish back to its original viscosity, but what most people do not realize is that this harms the polish. The result is a weaker bond, and the polish will chip off easily because of it. It also loses its luster by adding these chemicals to it. So, when it gets too old, simply toss it out, and get a new bottle or two. And stick with the better quality brands of polish. The price tag of a polish is NOT what determines the quality of it. It is the components that go into the polish which either makes it a good polish, or a bad polish. Some brands may cost only two or three dollars, and they will perform every bit as good - or even better than polishes that cost much more. So, price is not important when it comes to polishes. I'm not saying that ALL cheap polishes are good because they aren't. Only some are. It's a matter of trial, and error. Try this one, and that one and the other one too - all in different price ranges, and different brands. You'll find a winner before long.
And, while doing your right hand, make sure you brace your left hand pinky on something to help stabilize your left hand. This will make applying polish on the right hand much easier. This is called the 'fulcrum' finger. ALso, do this with the left hand as well. Always balance your pinky on something such as the surface of whatever you using, like a table top or whatever. Good support and balance is important if you want even, smooth coverage.
I hope this helps. How do I put nail polish on my hands without making it look chunky or uneven?
ask ur bf to do it for u
or any one who whould love to help ya

on you hands??
do u mean on ur nails?

First, a good nail polish goes a loonngg way. I personally love OPI. If you buy the cheap, tacky kinds, they tend to clump more. Second, practice makes perfect. I haven't painted my nails since I was 16, so I can't help you there. Why don't you go to a manicurist? They're cheap.
Start off with a clear base coat (make sure thats even and smooth and completely dry before continuing)
Put on one coat (any color of your choice) on all 5 nails (on your right hand) Make sure there is not a lot of polish on the brush or chunks of polish. Using three strokes, one in the middle of your nail, one on the left and one the right. Now STOP! It doesnt matter if its not completely covered of if your missing spots. This is only your first coating.
Time for the second coat, use the same process as you used for the first coat, this time everything you missed in the fist coating will be covered now.
Finally - Clear top coat. Same three stroke process and your good to go!
Works from inside out
