How do you get clear nail polish out of cotton shirt?

My fiance and I are on vacation and my Sally Hansen Maximum Growth nail stuff spilled in my suitcase onto his favorite shirt! Help! I tried hairspray. Is the shirt ruined now?How do you get clear nail polish out of cotton shirt?
Hairspray would help remove ballpoint pen ink stains.

The only thing that removes nail polish is the acetone nail polish remover or pure acetone. You might be lucky if the shirt is 100% cotton!

Use a little bit of the remover on a corner of the shirt to test first.

Be careful not to be overcome by the fumes of the polish remover: so don't use in a closed space, (open a window or work outside).

Remove Nail Polish Stains From:

Acrylic Fabric, Burlap Cotton, Linen, Modacrylic,

Nylon, Olefin, Polyester, Rope, Spandex

Scrape the excess. Test acetone on an inconspicuous place. If fiber color doesn't change, flush acetone through the stain to an absorbent pad. When no more stain is being removed, change pads and flush well with dry-cleaning solvent. Allow to dry thoroughly.';....

Good luck!

Try both to enjoy your holiday despite this disaster - clothes come and go, but friendship and love should last longer

How do you get clear nail polish out of cotton shirt?
nail polish remover of course!!!

works like a charm.. one time i spilled a bottle of bright blue nailpolish on my cream carpet. i poured some nail polish remover on it and it came right out! put some polish remover in a cup, then cover it with the stain and shake! the stain should come out. then wash the shirt normally!

i pretty much can guarantee this works :)

good luck!
I once spilled pink nail polish on a rug and got rid of most of it using white vinegar. It was still slightly stained, but not nearly as bad. I'm not sure if this will work on your shirt, just a warning. I have only used it that one time.
try nail polish remover
