What's the best way to get nail polish out of your carpet?

I have an orange nail polish stain in my gray carpet. How can I get it out without ruining the carpet. I'm moving out of my apartments and don't want to have to pay for the carpet to get removed. What's the best way to get nail polish out of your carpet?
Nail polish is a solvent based product. Water related products will not disolve it. Your choices are nail polish remover or assitone?sp?. both can damage the carpet if over used. Use min. amounts and test in a corner firstWhat's the best way to get nail polish out of your carpet?
Try Windex.
Try freezing the area, or at least get it real cold, by rubbing ice on it. Then maybe the polish will become more brittle and crack away. I'm afraid solvents will spread the stain, or destroy the carpet fabric.
DUH! nailpolish remover!

or aceitone should work also though you dont want to just pour it on cuz if its a highly concentrated formula and you leave it on to long it could melt the carpet try applying it to a cloth then working the stain with that matter of fact that goes for just about all of these suggestions except for the vodka and bakind soda. and or if as you try them you see clearly that they arent harming the rug.

if you dont want to try the aceitone try isopropble rubbing alcohol or oddly enough 100proof (or stronger) vodka.

ODDLY seabreeze (astringent) should work as well

hmmm also ammonia might work

next would be bakingsoda and water.

if not then try vinegar (not the red)

whatever you do test it first in an inconspicuous corner of the carpet to make sure you arent going to damage the carpet. most of these are unlikely to do harm except for the aceitone and that only if it is a strong dilution and you leave it too long.

last but not least and watch out cuz these could damage the rug too Kerosene and Gasoline.

club soda and body wash shop - mild mixture.

Do it repeatly and it will go away.

Try making the mixture in a small bowl and use a cloth towel.
