I just bought a purse with a lot of ';gold'; stuff on it like buckles, zipper pulls, decorative studs, etc.. I'm afraid that with constant handling, these will discolor or tarnish over time. What can I coat on the metal to protect it?Can you apply clear nail polish on gold plated metals to avoid discoloring or tarnishing?
It will help slow down the process but eventually it will turn too. The best thing to to switch the bag that you use often in other words dont use it everyday just when you want to spurse up your outfit. This happened to a babyphat and rocawear purse of mine they looked hella cute but then the ';gold';starting to become dull.
