How do you get purple nail polish out of your carpet?

My mom passed it over to me with the cap unscrewed so it went flying. We panicked and poured nail polish remover all over it. But it wasn't a strong nail polish remover. After reading some suggestions, we poured Windex over it, and started scrubbing. Will it work? Any other suggestions? How do you get purple nail polish out of your carpet?

Carpet cleaner. %26amp; you can rent the machine to , to scrub your carpets of course. Also, if your not willing to do that, i heard a good remedy for spilled nail polish is Non-acetone Nail polish remover, If you cant get it out, don't sweat it. Just move a piece of furniture over it! :) Heres a very good link, that can help you out ! Good luck, i know how fussy it is to clean a mess with the carpet.

NON-ACETONE nail polish remover (the regular type will melt the carpet). Try it on a hidden spot first to assure it doesn't ruin/bleach your carpet.
try this stuff called AWESOME. it gets ANYTHING out. you can find it at any dollartree store.
try cutting out the paint. have the pros clean the carpet to remove what remains.
I heard shaving cream works really well.
